About this lube

A clear gel with a six-line label

Our lube is a water-based gel: clear, colorless and tasteless, with a smooth, silky feel and no glycerin, parabens or petrochemicals. It comes in a 16 fl oz pump bottle for the nightstand drawer and a 32 fl oz pump bottle for the shelf, and both hold the same gel.

Use as much as you like and add more as it soaks in, the way a water-based gel does. Our product notes say it is made for use with toys, and it rinses off with water. One thing to know before you rely on it: our label says it has not been evaluated for condom compatibility and may damage condoms.

Before you rely on it

Our label says this lube has not been evaluated for condom compatibility and may damage condoms, and it is not a contraceptive and has no spermicide. The FDA definition of a personal lubricant says each one may or may not be compatible with latex, polyisoprene or polyurethane condoms. Stop if you feel burning, itching or a rash, and see your doctor if it does not settle.

Questions

About the Nooky Water-Based Lube

Can you rely on Nooky water-based lube with condoms?

The Nooky lube label says it has not been evaluated for condom compatibility and may damage condoms. If condoms are your protection, pick a lube whose label says it was tested with the kind you use.

Can you use Nooky lube with toys?

Our product notes say the Nooky water-based lube is made for use with toys. Follow the care instructions of the toy, and rinse both the toy and your skin with water afterwards.

What are you putting on your skin with Nooky water-based lube?

The label lists purified water first, then propylene glycol, hydroxyethyl cellulose, sodium PCA, potassium sorbate and citric acid. No petrochemicals, glycerin or parabens, according to the same label.

Which Nooky lube size suits you, 16 or 32 fl oz?

Both pump bottles hold the same gel. The 16 fl oz bottle fits a nightstand drawer, and the 32 fl oz bottle lasts longer for less per ounce.

What should you do if Nooky lube irritates your skin?

Stop using it. The label says to discontinue use and consult a physician if irritation occurs, and to keep it away from eyes and ears. It does not prevent pregnancy and has no spermicide.
